One Day

  • Jeremiah 31:33 “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
  •

Oh, praise our marvelous Lord! One day, all will be made right! Until that day, we all are responsible for hiding God’s Word in our heart.

  • Psalm 119:11 “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
  •

We all are to live “according to Thy Word” and only God’s Word. To do this and “not sin against” God, God’s people must hide God’s Word in their heart. We must daily read the Bible, study the Bible, memorize the Bible, and apply the Bible to each situation of our life. All questions of life must only be answered with God’s Word. All issues should only be resolved with the Scriptures. And yet, this rarely happens. Most of us live our entire lives addressing all of life’s myriad issues with the useless wisdom of man. But one day, God will have enough. And after God’s judgment and cleansing of us and this universe, God “will put” His “law in” His peoples’ “inward parts, and write it in their hearts.” You need to do this right now, and will be rewarded accordingly by God for doing this. But for sure all of God’s people will have this blessing placed in them one day. One day God “will be their God”; not themselves as god or their peers as god or the world as god or their sin as god or anything else as god. God will be their God, their Instruction, their Wisdom, their Counselor. Oh, may that day come quickly! 🙂 Until then, you and I must hide God’s Word in our hearts and inward parts and apply it diligently to everything! Amen!!
