Who are your counsellors? For some, their “counsellors” are their friends or their parents or their pastor or their peers. If these “counsellors” give us wisdom from specific verses of Scripture that agree with each other and are consistent with the rest of Scripture, these “counsellors” are true God-sends. But we must all remember that the true believer of God says as the Psalmist here in Ps. 119:24, “Thy testimonies also are…my counsellors.” The only counsel that counts is God’s Word. The only counsel that lasts is God’s Word. Do you accept counsel from men’s words and philosophies or from God’s testimonies?
